Christian Replacement Theology and the Third Temple of Jerusalem

It is the year 2012, and the countdown until reconstruction of the Temple of Jerusalem is advancing slowly but steadily. Various organisations – Jewish as well as Christian – want to realise this project of the Last Days. The location on the Temple Mount where the Third Temple will be erected (Zechariah 1:16) is disputed. Some people mean the spot where the Dome of the Rock is currently located; others mean the location of the Al Aqsa Mosque. Tuvia Sagiv, an architect from Tel Aviv, thinks he has pinpointed the location at a spot between those two sacred Islamic shrines, meaning right opposite the Wailing Wall (West Wall).
