These include a particularly well written version of a series of lectures, designed as an introduction into the business of philosophy, on the determination of the nature and the duties of a scholar as well as the lectures on the only two special disciplines which Fichte had on his agenda in Berlin: jurisprudence and ethics. This is a new publication of these lectures, the manuscripts of which were re-examined, and also includes the transcripts of Fichte‹s colleagues. A detailed introduction explains the individual kinds of lectures within Fichte’s system of theories.
