AK Muscletests at a glance

von Tracy S Gates, herausgegeben von Wolfgang Gerz
A further milestone in AK education with this booklet. It is a second edition and is the combined work of Wolfgang Gerz and Tracy S Gates. Credit is also given to Dr. Ivan Ramsˇak who was involved in the production of the first German and English
edition of the booklet but has since withdrawn from the project. In all previous AK educational material, the description of a large number of muscles have been deliberately omitted on the basis that they would seldom be used in the general medical practice.
However, the AK practice specialising in manual medicine represents a specific area of AK, with the need for local examination and treatment often being the priority. For this reason, this book endeavours to provide a more complete portrayal of all the muscles that may be of value for such manually oriented practices. For reasons of simplicity we have listed the muscles in alphabetical order. The important reflexes and nutritional associations are described wherever possible for each muscle. Among the smaller muscles, many of these associations are missing – for the simple reason that investigations remain incomplete within ICAK. One of the most frequent reasons for an examination of these small muscles in the manual medicine practice would be pain through trauma and accident, as well as rheumatoid and degenerative factors. In addition, some neurological conditions may be implicated. Neural therapy is recommended and depicted in some instances within the book. Whilst neural therapy is not commonly used amongst AK-practitioners in the United Kingdom and United States of America, it is a valuable option to be considered. It is worth seeking out local free-thinking physicians who may co-operate should such treatment be indicated. Below are listed the remedies which have proven themselves to be the 6 most useful in painful musculoskeletal conditions. Many other substances may of course be tested on individual muscles and will not be listed separately within this text.
Homeopathy: Arnica, Rhus tox., Symphytum (in different potencies).
Phytotherapy: Arnica etc.
Enzymes: Bromelain, A. I. Formula, pancreatic enzymes.
Minerals: Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Calcium, +CAL+, alkalazing powder.
Vitamins: C, B6 (P-5-P), B12, folic acid, B5 (pantothenic acid), E, F.
Sedation points, neurolymphatic and neurovascular reflexes are depicted in graphic format at the end of the book.
