Modern Automatic Control Systems

Intended for control systems courses in both electrical and mechanical engineering programs, this new first edition is a major departure from the book Dr. Golnaraghi had previously co-authored with Benjamin Kuo. Golnaraghi focuses on building up students' conceptual understanding by integrating tools for simulated and physical lab experiments. Starting in chapter one, Golnaraghi prepares students to conduct simulated controls experiments, using SIMLab and MATLAB; and also to build physical experiments using Lego MINDSTORMS (hardware that is widely and inexpensively available but is not included with the book).
