Diaspora Language Contact

This book is a description of the lexical and structural features in the speech of speakers who have a common heritage language, Croatian. As a highly inflective language, Croatian offers excellent scope as a base language to examine instances of lexical insertion, alternation, mixing and structural innovation. The book presents Croatian in contact with seven other languages across twelve different countries.
