Staging Language

This volume investigates the relationship between a specific discourse practice - creative and imaginative live performance - and connections such performance may have with identity linked to place. The author explores the role of linguistic variation in English in creating and maintaining specific social, cultural and regional identities in the context of localised, live performance events.
