STEVEN THOELEN
Some people see me as a maniac, but that’s not quite right.
My name is Steven, but, with a twist.
Basically, I’m not just the crazy guy at the corner, I’m a crew member with an emotional diaphragm. Call it a highly sensitive navigator in fantasy.
Why?
Well... think of photography as a medicine for my soul, not just making pretty photos. In fact, as a self-made director, I transform ordinary situations into unique moments.
I bet you’re wondering about now just what the hell this drug does to me?
All right, I like to make compositions that consist of emotional shots. Every scene illustrates the heat of the moment in my fictional story.
That’s what I want to do in life, creating artworks that add moments of drama to interiors, an ingredient that I regard as vital.
My new media art projects are guided by the worldwide design aesthetics and fashions of the period. Look at St.-Tropez, were I left my first Maskerami-edition, a mixed media artwork with Swarovski’s and goldleaves, containing up to 20 photos, all photographed by myself.
So, my dear all, what I want to seek is like Mitchy one’s said:
A happy life is not one filled with only sunshine, but one wich used both light an shadow to produce beauty.
Ciao tutti Bacio
