As a fine artist, kevin uses watercolor and mixed media to explore traditional avenues and fresh, evocative expressions. His signature style includes atmospheric landscapes, waterscapes, urban streetscapes, landmark homes and architectural treasures, best recognized in his collection of vibrant nightscapes. Distinctive two and three-dimensional expressions of the musical score and traditional books are exhibited in his collections entitled “artistically notated notations“, “Sym- phonic Collection“ and “Seeing Wood“. The emotionally rich artworks, “A Bookish Quilt...“ and “A Picture of Dorian Gray“ are examples of this fresh use of watercolor, ink and text.
Growing up kevin was always creative and he marries his artistic talents with an architectural degree from The Ohio State University and profession as a retail/ interior designer. He enjoys illustration and creative writing, exemplified by his “Sammy Two Toys“ storybook, writing com- petitions, cartoon and greeting card concepts and a screenplay. Being a contributing artist to select charitable organizations has added special meaning to his art.
kevin stays active in the regional Ohio arts community and beyond. He is an alumnus in the Grand Haven, MI, ArtWalk and Grand Rapids, MI, ARTPRIZE. His proudest artistic achieve- ments to date are inclusion and publication in See. Me‘s, The Story of the Creative, ARTBOX/ PROJECTS NY, BASEL and ZURICH 1.0 Art Shows and ARTBOX/TALENT Gondola Design Com- petition, a Finalist in the 2018 CFA Artist of the Year Award and a Select Artists‘ art invitation to the 2019 ART UpCLOSE / ARTIFACT “Museum Exhibit and Museum Collection“ at the Yukyung Art Museum, Geoje, South Korea. kevin‘s “mantra“ is to bring creativity and innovation to art and design, tempered with technical knowledge and reason. His goal is to bring these artistic creations to a wider, appreciative au- dience and market.
