Schiller-Wörterbuch

The five-volume Schiller Dictionary for the first time presents a lexicographical inventory of the poet's complete vocabulary and provides linguistic access to it. The dictionary provides comprehensive information on approx. 32,000 words. In addition to a full text search facility, the accompanying CD-ROM also allows a differentiated linguistic analysis of Schiller's vocabulary, enabling the execution of such search commands as "Find all the verbs in the semantic field 'sich ärgern' (get annoyed),„ “Find all dialect words,„ “Find all nominal compounds in the poems„ or “Find all of Schiller's neologisms. The work is an indispensable tool for language historians, linguists, literary scholars, and cultural historians concerned with the 18th century history of German language and ideas, and with Weimar Classicism in particular.
