Emotional regulation is a major factor in the genesis and continuation of an eating disturbance. This manual, developed and tested at the University of Lübeck, shows how eating disturbances can be overcome by improving emotional regulation. Psychoeducational content and therapeutic interventions are described, as well as the special aspects involved in treating adolescents, management of problem situations, and medical and psychological comorbidities in patients with eating disturbances.
