De iustitia et iure. Über Gerechtigkeit und Recht. Teil I und Teil II
von Luis de Molina, herausgegeben von Thomas Duve, Alexander Fidora, Heinz-Gerhard Justenhoven, Matthias Lutz-Bachmann und Andreas Niederberger, aus dem Latein übersetzt von Matthias Kaufmann, Alexander Loose und Danaë SimmermacherAlthough the Spanish Jesuit Luis de Molina (1535–1600) is considered a major theological advocate of human self-determination as well as a pioneer of economic liberalism, he has received less attention so far than, for example, Francisco de Vitoria (1483–1546) and Francisco Suárez (1548–1617). Significant parts of Molina’s legal philosophy are made accessible through this two-volume edition and translation of tractates I and II, disputations 1-40, of his voluminous ›De Iustitia et Iure‹ which contained five tractates published between 1593 and 1609.
