A New Edition of the Gilgit-manuscripts of the Saṃghabhedavastu in Mūlasarvāstivāda-Vinaya II, with Introduction and Concordance
von Meide XuThis present edition is based on the Gilgit Sanskrit manuscripts (fo. 424-523) and Gnoli’s editio princeps of Saṅghabhedavastu II published in 1978. Different readings are shown in different symbols and are dealt with in the footnotes. There is a concordance of the Chinese translation by Yijing 義.淨 of Saṅghabhedavastu accomplished in the beginning of the 8th Century. Some readings in the Śrāmaṇyaphala-sūtra have been improved based on the Gilgit Sanskrit manuscripts of Pravrajyāvastu of Mūlasarvāstivāda-Vinaya. The cataloge numbers and the editions of the fragments found in Turfan edited by Waldschmidt et al. are noted briefly in the footnotes with reference to the volumes and the page numbers of Sanskrithandschriften aus den Turfanfunden (SHT).
