On the reconstruction of three-dimensional cloud fields by synergistic use of different remote sensing data

The objective of this study was to assess if new cloud datasets, nemely horizontal fields of integrated cloud parameters and transects of cloud profiles becoming available from current and future satellites like MODIS and CloudSAT as well as EarthCARE will allow for the reconstruction of three-dimensional cloud fields.
