Evaluation, analysis and optimisation of direct-push sensor systems
von Jan BumbergerIn the present work, a systematic classification and description for the future development of this exploration technology is devised. For the evalutation and optimisation of existing sensor systems, a methodological approach is present which is based on experimental analysis performed at laboratory and field scale, then there subsequent mathematical modeling. The presented principles for the examination of direct push sensor systems are appropriate as deductive methods for the synthetic development and implementation of physical, chemical, or biological sensor systems.
An importent application of direct-push sensor systems is the investigation of contamination in soils and groundwater. One example of these kinds of sensor system is the Membrane InterfaceProbe (MIP), through this however often yield uncertain measurement results.
