Discussion of Information Security in E-Learning

The need for security and implied requirements by the use of e-learning systems has mostly been neglected in practice for speeding up development and keeping it simple. A general problem connected to security in e-learning is given by the relation of abstract criteria and requirements from educational science with technical realisition possibilities from informatics subdomains. In this book, the author focuses on this interdisciplinary field and investigates e-learning from perspectives of both disciplines to develop a security concept that provides a sufficiant level of security without negatively influencing the learning process.
