Next Stop, Kiosk

'This publication is intended not only to accompany Marjetica Potrc‘s solo exhibition ›Next Stop, Kiosk‹ at Ljubljana‘s Moderna galerija (Museum of Modern Art); it also strives to present, without necessarily being comprehensive, an overview of the artist‘s work over the past five years. The introductory essay by exhibition curator Zdenka Badovinac, along with the essay by Goran Tomcic together, lays a foundation for this by reviewing Portc‘s earlier sculptural work and establising timelines for her more recent production. The selected writings by Marjetica Potrc, as well as her interview with Hans Ulrich Obrist, describe and link parallel urban realities, presenting from various perspectives her thinking about contemporary urban structures, self sustainability, individual intiative and empowerment in global cities today.'
