Variogram theory, from Geostatistics has been applied to model different kinds of spatially distributed uncertainties. The material properties of the panel structure are considered and modelled as spatially distributed material properties. These material properties are simulated and implemented into FE model of the panel structure. The eigen-frequencies and mode shapes are compared with the experimental modal analysis results. The spatially distributed material model predicted the free vibration characteristics very effectively when compared to averaged material model.
