Arcitectures for high-throughput and reliable iterative channel decoders

Abstract Channel coding is an important part of any wireless communication system. Iteratively decoded codes like turbo codes and LDPC codes provide a very good error correction performance and are consequently part of multiple communication standards. In this thesis, we focus on the design of architectures for iterative channel decoders.
