Catena Aurea

Catena aurea - golden chain is the metaphor which most appropriately describes the work of Werner Beierwaltes on the paradigms of metaphysics, which the author himself conceives as a form of philosophical theology. In his publications, Werner Beierwaltes, one of the most renowned interpreters of neo-platonic philosophy and metaphysics, has been involved in the forging of individual links in this golden chain, repaired them in some places, discovered (and made his readers conscious of) their philosophical and theological reflection potential. This volume collects writings from over fifty years and is thus a testimony to the continuous philosophical work of Werner Beierwaltes.
