Deployment of Mathematical Simulation Models for Space Management

This thesis addresses simulation experts as well as customers of simulation studies. Although focussing on integration of simulation models in space management - especially on Austrian universities, the presented expansion of the simulation pipeline is a general one. Basis are methods of the holistic system theory, which help in recognizing problems in the system integration of simulation models. The author develops the tool 'Deployment Matrix', which allows to react on recognized integration problems, e. g. by adapting aims of the project. Essential part of this approach is a suitable presentation of the simulation results for deciders: only if the simulation results generate a better decision basis, the model integration into the real system can be seen as successful. The author proofs advantages of the developed approach by integration of simulation models in the area space management, with application at university space management.
