Basic excercises, such as "up", "down", "come", "leave it" and "go away" are explained, as well as "just for fun" exercises like "loop-de-loop" and "turning". In addition, advice is given on how to train with aggressive, biting or frightened birds. Amongst other things, the reader learns relaxation exercises that help to calm a bird down. A whole chapter is dedicated on how to tame a bird. A particular focus of the book is on training with flighted birds and birds that are kept with mates or in a flock situation.
