Person Helmut Barthel

Helmut Barthel was born in 1951 in Hamburg. His writing career began when he was eight years of age. His impressive oeuvre consists of more than 1000 poems, sonnets and animal ballads, numerous aphorisms as well as two series with more than 100 short stories about important philosophers and founders of religious traditions from the ancient times up to the present day e.g. „A Carpenter in the Desert“ („Ein Zimmermann in der Wüste“) and „The Fully Awakened One ...“ („Der Vollerwachte ...“). - The early short stories in „A Day like Tomorrow“ („Ein Tag wie morgen“), combine social and science fiction with fantasy and political satire, thereby providing a taste of the author's wide-ranging storytelling abilities. „Zauber Kalt“ („Sorcery Cold“), the first part of a novel trilogy, was published in 2015. - Helmut Barthel works as a publisher and editor-in-chief, in which function he has written a number of seminal articles in the areas of politics, philosophy and sport. His passion is the German language in particular in poetical form.
