Will we all become math aficionados?

Mathematics, the queen of science or the nightmare of many students? Will ordinary folk or at least a significant percentage of people ever become math lovers? For various reasons to be discussed, it can be assumed that this will hardly be the case. This is - apart from the inherent ‘beauty’ of this discipline - extremely unfortunate for a variety of reasons.
