The annual IDIMT conferences provide an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging concepts and visions in the area of information management, knowledge management, business engineering, information technology, system theory, and related areas. The international setting, the heterogeneity of cooperating technical and economic research institutes and the different scientific, economic and historical background of the researchers guarantee a multifaceted view on these topics.
The main focus of this year’s conference is the management of information, innovations, system development, projects, organisations, and business. Due to the many unknowns of these fields they are not really manageable - hence the title of the conference. Nevertheless Information and Communication Technology together with Systems Thinking provide a basis for management activities. In this spirit the key topics of this year’s conference are:
