Autobiography of Andrew Taylor Still

von Andrew T Still
This book is a revised edition of the 1897 work published by the author in Kirksville, Missouri. According to his preface, the changes were made to eliminate topics that would not be of interest to the general reader. There are several additions of poems such as at the end of Chapter 19 titled “Osteopathy” and another at the end of chapter 26 titled “Kansas Baby.” There are added sections following the final chapter that discuss what happened between 1897 and 1908 as well as other additions such as “Four Cranks” which discusses the philosophical differences of Columbus, Watts, Morse, and Still. Other poems added to the end of the book are “Lines on a Skeleton,” and “Osteopathy – Our Calling.” The definition of Osteopathy that appears at the beginning of the first edition has been moved to the end of the second edition. It appears that the main reason that the newer edition has fewer pages is due to a different typeface and print size area. The same AT Still wit and wisdom appears in this edition as in the prior one.
