Remembering the Past – Shaping the Future

This essay collection brings together eighteen essays written by young Jewish-Americans who have travelled to Germany on the program Germany Close Up within the past five years. In these essays, the authors reflect upon their personal experiences and simultaneously use these to explore questions of remembrance and identity.
